Evelyn Medina went supernova for Dalton Academy, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 10 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lori Ocampo, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Georgia School for the Deaf and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Dalton Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgia School for the Deaf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dalton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 23, 2024. Dalton Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southeast Whitfield County at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
