If the Briarwood Christian Lions were feeling good off their 84-39 takedown of the Indian Springs Student last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Briarwood Christian took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pelham. Briarwood Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pelham apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Monday.
Joe Wimberly was a one-man wrecking crew for Pelham as he scored 15 points along with seven assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dynarian Long, who scored 17 points.
Briarwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Pelham, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-9.
Briarwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pelham, they will head out on the road to square off against Helena at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
