Ragsdale is 0-10 against Northwest Guilford since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Ragsdale Tigers will host the Northwest Guilford Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Ragsdale knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Northwest Guilford likes a good challenge.
While Ragsdale didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Grimsley on Friday as Ragsdale made off with a 13-1 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Gracie Jet Cuthrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Cuthrell was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Claire Souther was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alexis Gray, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Ragsdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Northwest Guilford had taken Northern Guilford down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Northwest Guilford lost 12-4 to Northern Guilford. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ragsdale's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northwest Guilford, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.
Ragsdale suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Northwest Guilford when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Ragsdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
