Kings and West Clermont are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Kings Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Clermont Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kings suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. Their rough 75-54 defeat to Winton Woods might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Winton Woods is ranked 19th).
Meanwhile, West Clermont pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anderson. West Clermont has struggled against Anderson recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
West Clermont's loss came about despite a quality game from Rayshawn Hubbard, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Duke, who scored 15 points.
West Clermont struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Anderson pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.
Kings' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9. As for West Clermont, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12.
