4A Region 7 recap October 8, 2013
Corner Canyon extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 7 this week by beating Skyline, 20-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Chargers.
Mountain View and Murray played the closest game in the league this week, with Mountain View eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory. Ashton Domingo ran for 37 yards and caught 5 passes for 31 yards in the win.
Tucker Camp was a passing and rushing force as Orem fell to Salem Hills. He completed 18 passes for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 132 yards. Camp's favorite target this week was Quinn Peters, who caught 5 passes for 52 yards.
Tyler Sweeten threw for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 20-42 with 1 interception.
Sweeten put up the best numbers through the air as Timpanogos lost to Olympus. Sweeten's favorite target this week was Austin Seegmiller, who caught 9 passes for 76 yards.
The Tigers' Camp and Nolan Gray led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Camp has thrown for 1,560 yards this season, while Gray has 50 catches for 715 yards. Coleman Meier from the Titans leads the league in rushing with 594 yards.
An important game coming up in 4A Region 7 this week will be when Olympus takes on the Spartans. Aaron Whitehead's team is currently in first, while Murray is in sixth.
The Timberwolves fell to the Titans 48-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sweeten was a bright spot for Timpanogos, as he ran for 18 yards in the defeat.
