On Thursday, Douglass had just enough and edged Clay County out 52-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for Douglass.
Leading Douglass to victory were Jacob Mickell and Noah Treadwell. Mickell scored 15 points, while Treadwell scored 17 points along with five rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Treadwell has scored at least 25% of Douglass' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Mickell, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Douglass has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Clay County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
