Baseball Recap: Baldwyn Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Baldwyn had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 3-4 to make it four. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Biggersville Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Maddox McCarley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Carson Richardson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

As for Biggersville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Biggersville's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Seago, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Jaden Clifton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Coming up, Baldwyn will face off against Alcorn Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Biggersville will be paying especially close attention to the Bearcats' game: after the Bearcats face off against the Bears, they'll take on Biggersville again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
