After two weeks on the road, West Bolivar is heading back home. They will square off against Riverside at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest.
West Bolivar have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their matchup against Coahoma County last Friday making it three winless games in a row. West Bolivar suffered a grim 7-31 defeat to Coahoma County.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Riverside and Leland, but Riverside stepped up in the second half. Riverside secured a 26-20 W over Leland. The success represented a nice turnaround for Riverside, who in their last game suffered a tough 0-28 defeat.
Riverside's win lifted them to 3-6 while West Bolivar's loss dropped them down to 1-9. In their win, Riverside relied heavily on senior Jonovan Tyler, who rushed for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns. West Bolivar will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
