5A District 1 recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A District 1 this week, Pensacola Catholic beat West Florida 31-13. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Gulf Breeze took down Arnold 42-23 last week, the largest margin of any game. Slade Jarmon threw for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
The Dolphins' dynamic duo of Jarmon and D'Andre Fraser proved to be unstoppable against the Marlins, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jacob Kubik helped Gulf Breeze's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 63 yards.
Cody Henry provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Pensacola Catholic bested the Jaguars. He completed 10 passes for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 76 yards. Henry's key target this week was Daniel Byrd, who caught 3 passes for 65 yards.
He was 11-20 with 1 interception.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Nat Dixon. The Mosley star has 21 catches for 546 yards.
So far this year, Henry has thrown for 1,994 yards with 25 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
