After two games on the road, Fairlawn is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Riverside Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-19, which was the final score in Fairlawn's tilt against Newton Local on Saturday. Fairlawn was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.
Meanwhile, Riverside had to suffer through a rough 53-21 loss at the hands of Miami East. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Riverside has scored all season.
Fairlawn's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Fairlawn came up short against Riverside in their previous matchup back in February, falling 43-34. Will Fairlawn have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
