North Community had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Apple Valley, posting a 78-31 win on the road.
Meanwhile, Rockford gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took down Maple Lake 45-28.
Rockford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mae Weiss out in front who scored 10 points. Rayna Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
