Softball Recap: Dwyer Wins Going Away Against Dr. Joaquin Garcia

Dwyer barely beat Dr. Joaquin Garcia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dwyer Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs a 14-0 shutout on Monday. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Dwyer got a massive performance out of Lily Lynch, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave Lynch a new career-high. Ava Pratt also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Dwyer's record now sits at 4-5. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dwyer will challenge Park Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Park Vista will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Dwyer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, they will take on Palm Beach Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
