The Chisholm Trail Rangers's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 42-32 victory over Boswell. Given Chisholm Trail's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Boswell is ranked 371st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chisholm Trail got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Archange Mutombo out in front who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mutombo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Skinner, who scored 11 points.
Chisholm Trail's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Boswell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.
Chisholm Trail will head out on the road to take on Bell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boswell, they will be playing at home against Trinity at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
