We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Nettleton will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
Nettleton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Aberdeen on Tuesday. Nettleton never let Aberdeen get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Kennice Finnie was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Zion Seals was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Chloe Humble was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saltillo). They put the hurt on Olive Branch with a sharp 14-1 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Conquistadors: they've now won three in a row.
Like Nettleton, Saltillo also got a great game from a two-way player: Meri Campbell Davis. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Davis has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Chloe Skelton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Monae Jackson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Saltillo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matches.
Nettleton's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Saltillo, their record is now 5-6-1.
Nettleton skirted past Saltillo 6-5 in their previous matchup on Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nettleton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
