It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Nipomo had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Reedley Pirates  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Titans have posted  since March 11th.
 Nipomo took Reedley into a fifth set  where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 23-25,  15-12.
 William Hidinger paced Nipomo's offense, picking up 34 kills. Hidinger got some help from  Chase Spicer and his 57 assists. Spicer was also a major player on defense:   he and  Jude Logue shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.
 Despite the loss, Reedley still got an impressive performance from   Jose Castaneda-Valle, who  had 18  digs and one assist. Castaneda-Valle has been hot, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last five times he's  played.
The  victory made it two in a row for Nipomo and  bumps their season record up to 21-14. As for Reedley,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-14.
 Nipomo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  win against Righetti on the 13th. Reedley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
