Joliet West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 52-40 to the Plainfield South Cougars. On the bright side, the 40- point performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring game to date.

Joliet West's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Thompson, who posted 11 points. Temperance Jackson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Joliet West's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Plainfield South, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Joliet West will host Oswego at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainfield South, they will face off against Normal Community at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
