The Rauner Wildcats waltzed into Monday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 39-35 win over Muchin College Prep. This was payback for Rauner, who suffered a 69-61 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rauner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yahweh Anderson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Anderson set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintin Hunt, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Rauner pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Muchin College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rauner will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against ITW David Speer Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Muchin College Prep, they will challenge Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
