Dylan Young Dazzles in Hay Springs Win
Starting off the list is Hay Springs's Dylan Young, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Young threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced two fumbles, made 14 total tackles, and defended two passes.
The win for Hay Springs keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Young and Hay Springs will take on Cody-Kilgore on Friday.

Sioux County found a leader in Jack Hunter as the team took down Minatare on Thursday. Hunter was dynamite, rushing for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Unfortunately for Minatare, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Hunter. Hunter rushed for 95 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries the last time he and the Indians duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Performance from Tripp Buettner Leads Hay Springs over Crawford
On Friday, Hay Springs got the W thanks in part to Tripp Buettner playing the best football he has all season. Buettner rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Buettner and Hay Springs will venture away from home to challenge Cody-Kilgore on Friday. The matchup will pit Buettner up against the Cowboys/Cowgirls' star running back Brady Skinner. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Hunter Mcdonald Delivers Best Effort of Season
Hay Springs was led to victory by Hunter McDonald, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. McDonald picked up 107 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made 11 total tackles, and defended a pass.
On the season, McDonald has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 32 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Talan Storer Turns in Season-Best Performance
Talan Storer produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Arthur County to the win on Friday. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
