Justin Wyatt Jr. Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Highland was led to victory by Justin Wyatt Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wyatt Jr. threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.1 passing touchdowns per game. Highland is undefeated when Wyatt Jr. posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
If history really does repeat itself, Wyatt Jr. might just drop another big game when he faces off against Lancaster on Thursday. Wyatt Jr. rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Jacob Walker Leads Lancaster over Knight
Jacob Walker produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lancaster to the win on Friday. Walker rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
The win was the fifth in a row for Lancaster, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Walker and Lancaster will look to defend their home field on Friday against Highland at 7:00 p.m.

Big Game from Suarez As Palmdale Won 59-0
Palmdale picked up their third consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Joshua Suarez. Suarez turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 211 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Suarez is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least four every time he's taken the field this season.
The victory got Palmdale back to even at 4-4. Suarez and Palmdale will venture away from home to square off against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The second Highland player making an appearance here is Demond Blanchard, and for good reason. He picked up 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.

Jaden Graham Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Jaden Graham of Quartz Hill. Graham rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. He is becoming a predictor of Quartz Hill's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
Graham might have his next game, a road matchup with Antelope Valley, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Graham saw the Antelopes), he rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
