Towanda waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They slipped by the Muncy Indians 48-47. This was payback for the Black Knights, who suffered a 67-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Guardini, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Guardini is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stiles Eyer, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Towanda's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Muncy, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towanda will take on North Penn-Liberty in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Penn-Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season. As for Muncy, they will head out to challenge Neumann Regional Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Muncy is facing Neumann Regional Academy at the right time seeing as Neumann Regional Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
