The Brevard Blue Devils can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. Everything went their way against R-S Central as Brevard made off with a 70-48 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Brevard who now have three in a row.
Brevard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tre Crite led the charge by scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Baker Buchanan, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Brevard's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for R-S Central, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Brevard will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Asheville Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Blue Devils likes a good challenge. As for R-S Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Polk County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
