The Williamstown Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Stowe Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamstown will be strutting in after a win while Stowe will be coming in after a loss.
Last Wednesday, Williamstown didn't have too much trouble with Twinfield at home as they won 59-43.
Evan Bailey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. He also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Colby Laggner was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Stowe's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-45 to Randolph. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stowe in their matchups with Randolph: they've now lost four in a row.
Williamstown pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Stowe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Williamstown beat Stowe 63-53 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Williamstown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
