Softball Recap: Lake Travis Victorious

While Lake Travis put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Austin. The Cavaliers came out on top against the Maroons by a score of 4-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Not much got past Julianna Rodriguez, who gave up just four hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Austin off the board.

At the plate, Lake Travis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Depa, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run. Alyssa Marks also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Travis and bumps their season record up to 12-12-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Austin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake Travis is set to face off against their familiar foe Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Austin will square off against rival Del Valle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
