Basketball Recap: Seminole Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Seminole had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Sunday. They walked away with a 70-57 victory over the Key West Conchs.

Defeat or not, Key West got some senior leadership from James Osborne and Zach Levering. Osborne posted 24 points and five steals, while Levering shot 70% from the field en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Levering has become a key player for the Conchs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 4-5 otherwise. Jakub Krytinar was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

Seminole's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Key West, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Seminole will face off against Chamberlain at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Key West, they and Port Charlotte will face off at 10:40 a.m. on Monday without much rest, having both just played.
