Konner Fowler and Devion Saunders provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Morrison. The connection went for 62 yards, the longest such play in A District 7 this season.
Kiefer extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hominy, 46-16. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Yale's dynamic duo of Fowler and Saunders proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fowler threw for 80 yards and one touchdown and Saunders had 75 yards receiving. JR Wakely helped Yale's passing attack out by catching one ball for five yards.
Trey Sneed was the most productive running back in the league this week. In nine carries, he ran for 200 yards as Kiefer fell to Morrison. Blake Shadowens also contributed to the rushing game with 101 yards on the ground.
Thanks to the talents of Justin Rovang and Sneed Josh Calvert's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rovang leads the league in passing with 305 yards, while Sneed has rushed for 569 yards this season. Yale's Saunders leads the league in receiving yards with 145 on five catches.
A big matchup in A District 7 this week will be when Craig Ellis' team takes on the Trojans. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in third, while Kiefer is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Yale and the Trojans face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Bulldogs comes in having scored 147 this season, while Kiefer has scored 225. Yale scored 6 points last week as it lost to Cory Bales' team.
The Trojans made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,726 from 8,833. The improvement came about via a 46-16 victory over the Bucks last week.
