The Tate Aggies entered their tilt with the Jay Royals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Tate secured a 71-65 W over Jay on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lucas Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with eight steals and seven assists. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Deonne Williams, jr., who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Tate pushed their record up to 10-5 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Jay, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Tate will be playing at home against Pensacola at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jay, they will head out on the road to face off against Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
