The Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders won against the Chaminade Flyers last Saturday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Archbishop Stepinac put the hurt on Chaminade with a sharp 42-21 victory. The victory was nothing new for Archbishop Stepinac as they're now sitting on three straight.
Among those leading the charge was Will Currid, who threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Jahi Gary was another key contributor, picking up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Archbishop Stepinac's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Chaminade, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Archbishop Stepinac has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome St. Anthony's at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (St. Anthony's is ranked first, while Archbishop Stepinac is ranked third). As for Chaminade, they will head out on the road to face off against Cardinal Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Hayes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Chaminade likes a good challenge.
