Millbury's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anthony Phillipo, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown. Phillipo was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 68 yards.
Millbury are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-2 Blackstone Valley RVT (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.1% over those games). As for Uxbridge, their win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-0.
Millbury will head out on the road to face off against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Bernard's Central Catholic is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Uxbridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Auburn is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
