Weequahic won the last time they faced Morris Catholic, and things went their way on Saturday, too. Everything went Weequahic's way against Morris Catholic as they made off with a 33-0 win. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Weequahic are ranked far ahead of Morris Catholic in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Senior Tyler Phillips, who picked up 65 yards on the ground and caught passes for 111 yards, was a major factor in the success. Sophomore Jerron Phillips was in the mix, too, providing Weequahic with 3 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Weequahic a 1-0 record and starting Morris Catholic off at 0-1.
Weequahic are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Boonton next week at 7:00 PM. As for Morris Catholic, they will face off against Whippany Park.
