The Capistrano Valley Cougars will take on the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Capistrano Valley is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last five games.

 Cassidy Stinnett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Madison McSorley, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Samantha Kelly, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Capistrano Valley  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in seven consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Aliso Niguel fell victim to Dana Hills and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of  2-0.
  Amanda Elkins was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits.
 Capistrano Valley's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Aliso Niguel, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12-1.
