Colorado Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simeon Woldeyohannes, who scored 13 points along with 5 assists. George Buyers was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 steals.
Grand Junction Central's loss came despite strong showings from Camren Redding and Blake Rooks. Redding scored 11 points, while Rooks scored 11 points. The matchup was Rooks' fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Grand Junction Central struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Colorado Academy pulled down 11.
Colorado Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Grand Junction Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Colorado Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Loveland at 8:15 p.m. on December 8th. As for Grand Junction Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Steamboat Springs at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Steamboat Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
