I-70 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Wellington-Napoleon extended the longest winning streak in I-70 this week by beating Lone Jack, 59-14. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Tigers.
Wellington-Napoleon took down the Mules 59-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jacob Beckemeyer threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 165 yards in the win.
Brett Beckham was the best wideout in the league this week as Lone Jack fell to Quenton Bainbridge's team. Beckham tallied two receptions for 52 yards. Trevor Wilson helped Lone Jack's passing attack out by catching two balls for 22 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Beckemeyer of the Tigers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2756. He has also thrown 35 touchdowns. On the ground, Orrick's Derrick Dennis has rushed for 1652 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jeffery Hall. The Sweet Springs star has 30 catches for 432 yards.
Wellington-Napoleon led I-70 in scoring this week after putting up 59 points on Jason Fenstermaker's team. Beckemeyer in the win.
