The Genesee Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 44-19 loss at the hands of Brown City. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Genesee has scored all season.
Averie Zinn and Simpson Autumn certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Zinn scored seven points along with four steals and three blocks, while Autumn scored two points along with six rebounds. Zinn scored a full 36.8% of Genesee's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Genesee now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Brown City, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.
Genesee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Capac on December 22nd. Brown City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dryden on December 22nd. Dryden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
