Cypress Creek scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, posting a 67-14 victory at home. That looming 67-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cypress Creek yet this season.
Cypress Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Timberlyn Campbell, who scored 14 points. Jaylisse Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Winter Park waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 42-41 victory over Lake Howell.
Sam Childs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Lynn Pham, who scored eight points.
Cypress Creek now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Winter Park, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.
Cypress Creek took a serious blow against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 54-25. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cypress Creek was down 34-12.
