The Frenship Tigers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Southlake Carroll Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on November 16th. Frenship has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 251 points over their last four contests.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Frenship walked away with it. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 87-58 win over Eastwood. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Frenship's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hudson Hutcheson, who threw for 507 yards and nine touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. Hutcheson hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for seven straight games. Landon Hutcheson was in the mix too, providing Frenship with three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll stacked a tenth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They didn't even let Boswell onto the board and left with a 70-0 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Southlake Carroll had established a 56 point advantage.
Southlake Carroll got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Graham Knowles out in front who threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Angelo Renda, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Frenship pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Southlake Carroll, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
Frenship took a serious blow against Southlake Carroll when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 69-14. Can Frenship avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
