Battle Creek Academy has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Tekonsha Indians at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Battle Creek Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Battle Creek Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-35 to Heritage Christian Academy. Battle Creek Academy has not had much luck with Heritage Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Battle Creek Academy got a solid performance out of Nathan Thomson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Thomson scored a full 57.1% of Battle Creek Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Tekonsha took a serious blow against Litchfield on Friday, falling 47-15.
With Battle Creek Academy's win and Heritage Christian Academy's defeat, both teams now sport identical 1-1 records.
Battle Creek Academy skirted past Tekonsha 47-44 in their previous meeting back in March of 2021. Will Battle Creek Academy repeat their success, or does Tekonsha have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
