The West Forsyth Titans were the 47-33 winner over the East Forsyth Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. West Forsyth fell to East Forsyth 30-26. It was the first time this season that West Forsyth let down their fans at home.
West Forsyth's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Staples, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell McClain, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds.
West Forsyth's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5. As for East Forsyth, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
West Forsyth will take on Mount Tabor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Tabor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Forsyth in North Carolina (Mount Tabor is ranked 73rd, while West Forsyth is ranked 237th). As for East Forsyth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Reagan is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
