Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Marshfield

Marshfield strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Norwell Clippers as they made off with a 13-1 win. Considering the Rams have won three contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Madison Adams was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Liliana Newman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Marshfield hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Marshfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Norwell, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshfield will host Scituate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norwell, they will be playing at home against Hingham at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
