David Emanuel Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as The Habersham School apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
The Habersham School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Myla Shippy led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Shippy. Another player making a difference was Anna Cadle, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
David Emanuel Academy bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for The Habersham School, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
David Emanuel Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for The Habersham School, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Pinewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
