Volleyball Recap: Ripon Victorious

Ripon's tournament run continued when they took on Churchill County on Friday. The Indians came out on top against the Greenwave by a score of 2-0.

Ripon easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14.

Kennedy Everhart was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and three aces. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Ripon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Churchill County only served eight aces.

When it comes to explaining why Churchill County lost, don't look at Lea Williams. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and two aces. Dylan Faught also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Ripon's record now sits at 3-1. As for Churchill County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Ripon has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 29th. As for Churchill County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Woodcreek on the 29th.
