The Richfield Wildcats came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Delta 61-36. That's another feather in the cap for Richfield, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Miles Barnett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with four steals. Malik Fautin was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Delta still got an impressive performance from Cai Henderson, who scored 27 points along with two blocks. That was a full 75% of Delta's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Bronco Bundy, who scored five points.
Richfield is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Delta, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
