The LaBrae Vikings will square off against the Jefferson Area Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LaBrae is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
LaBrae will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Poland Seminary on Monday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-4 win. Considering the Vikings have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Riley Rowe made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Olivia Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. LaBrae hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. However, it's not like Jefferson Area struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
LaBrae came out on top in a nail-biter against Jefferson Area in their previous matchup back in April of 2021, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
