For King's Christian's part, Sam Yoo and Bryce Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Yoo struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Brown tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Yoo went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Brown went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. King's Christian is undefeated when Brown posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, King's Christian let Levi Smith and Aiden Lawlor run wild. Smith went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Lawlor went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Lawlor has posted since back in June of 2024. Matty Pancurak was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
