Poly has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Digital Harbor Rams at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Poly's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
Poly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 80-10 victory over Dunbar at home. Poly has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 24 points or more this season.
Poly's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mickelle Lowry, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lowry has scored all season. Arianna Makumi was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Digital Harbor, who are still winless after their sixth game. They were dealt a 56-19 defeat at the hands of City College on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Digital Harbor in their matchups with City College: they've now lost seven in a row.
Poly pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Digital Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Everything came up roses for Poly against Digital Harbor in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 80-14 victory. With Poly ahead 49-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
