Given Eastern Hancock's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Waldron is ranked 277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastern Hancock found their leader in underclassman McKenzie Koch, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Koch hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Sydney Springman, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Daleville ended up a good deal behind Wapahani on Tuesday and lost 47-30.
Eastern Hancock's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Daleville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Eastern Hancock against Daleville in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-28 win. With Eastern Hancock ahead 38-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
