Samueli Academy won the last time they faced The Webb Schools and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Firewolves were the clear victors by a 23-13 margin over the Gauls. Considering the Firewolves have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bella Alvarado was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Violette Martinez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Samueli Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 12.8.

Samueli Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for The Webb Schools, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Samueli Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Vista Meridian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Firewolves are facing the Meridian Eagles at the right time seeing as the Meridian Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. The Webb Schools does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
