Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous eight contest, Research Triangle brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They walked away with a 4-2 win over Carolina Friends on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Research Triangle as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

NCSSM: Durham now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Research Triangle, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-9-1.

NCSSM: Durham took their victory against Research Triangle in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Unicorns since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
