Carlinville never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 41-0 victory over the Gillespie Miners. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Miners had little chance of recovering from.
Carlinville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Convery led the charge by rushing for 78 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Convery also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making three total tackles (1.5 for loss).
