Erica Bennett tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Folsom saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Sacay, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Devyn Huber also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
The victory got Folsom back to even at 12-12-2. As for Monterey Trail, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-18.
