Baseball Recap: Red Bud Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Red Bud won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Friday too. Red Bud came out on top against Lebanon by a score of 6-2.

Blake Henry was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Schwartzkopf, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Red Bud has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Lebanon's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Red Bud will head out to face off against Varsity Opponent at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lebanon, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against East Alton-Wood River at 4:30 p.m.
